Common Worship

Our God, in whom we trust: Strengthen us not to regard overmuch who is for us or who is against us, but to see to it that we be with you in everything we do. Amen.
-Thomas à Kempis

Weekly Worship

Our worship is what brings us together weekly as we listen to God’s Word and share the sacrament of Holy Communion (Eucharist). During our services on Sundays at 4:30, we gather for prayer, reading of Holy Scripture and participating in Eucharist. We also enjoy continuing our fellowship after the service through a shared meal.

Our time together is grounded in the Book of Common Prayer (BCP). The BCP can also used for personal daily prayers connecting us with the broader Anglican church.

All ages are welcome to worship together on Sundays. For more about how that looks and what we offer, please read more on our children & families page.

More About What to Expect +

Our Sunday services combine traditional Anglican worship with a modern touch. It begins with opening prayers which welcome and help direct us in our worship. You’ll then have a time of confession, where everyone internally reflects on their day-to-day lives and asks for God’s forgiveness together out loud.

Next, there will be Bible readings from the Old and New Testaments, followed by a sermon that explores how the Holy Scriptures relate to our lives today. After the sermon, the congregation prays together for the church, the world, and individual needs.

The heart of the service is Holy Communion, also called Eucharist, where you’re invited to receive bread and wine. If you’re not ready to take communion, you can simply come forward for a blessing or remain seated.

The service ends with a final prayer and a blessing to send you out with peace and purpose. Expect a mix of music—some hymns, some contemporary songs. It’s a vibrant environment where you're encouraged to participate in whatever way you're ready. Our other rhythms change with the church year. You might find a processional and the clergy in vestments during the weeks of Eastertide, while ordinary time strikes a more casual tone.

Parking is available on Hoskin Ave directly in front of Wycliffe College most Sundays. If that's innaccessible, you can also find parking on some of the streets nearby including George St.

The closest TTC Subway stops are Museum Station and, a little further away, Saint George Station.

We’re glad you’re thinking about joining us, and we hope you feel right at home!
